Taste with Meaning: Our Fairtrade Weeks

1

From May 12 to 25, the Fairtrade Weeks were in full swing in Luxembourg, and at Sodexo, we actively took part in this initiative that places social justice and sustainability at the heart of our actions.

For the youngest: a fair and educational breakfast

In several of our Maisons Relais, children had the opportunity to discover fair trade through Fairtrade breakfasts.

On the menu: fresh fruit, juice, pastries, and homemade cereal bars prepared by our Chefs using Fairtrade ingredients.

Fun and educational displays accompanied these moments, helping children understand the importance of responsible consumption from an early age.

At the Chamber of Commerce: a responsible gourmet break

And it wasn’t just for the kids! At the Chamber of Commerce, our Chefs offered a tasting of sweet treats such as brownies and cookies, all made with Fairtrade products. A great opportunity to show that pleasure and commitment can go hand in hand.

Why Fairtrade?

Fairtrade is much more than a label. It’s a concrete commitment to a fairer world, where producers receive fair compensation for their work, with respect for the environment and human rights.

How to get involved every day?

Because Fairtrade Weeks aren’t the only time to take action, here are a few simple ways to make a difference:

  • Enjoy a Fairtrade breakfast
  • Choose Fairtrade coffee at the office
  • Cook with fair trade ingredients

Every small gesture counts and brings us closer to a more sustainable future.
