Together for a Greener Luxembourg!

On the occasion of National Tree Day, celebrated every third Saturday of November, we took on the Tree Plant Challenge, a challenge that supports reforestation and urban greening.

Why is this important?

According to the Luxembourg Agency for Nature and Forests, the state of the country’s forests is concerning. Planting new trees is essential to preserve our environment and fight climate change.

Our Challenge:

This week, Ligue HMC nominated Sodexo Seniors to take part in this challenge:
 

  • Plant a tree within 72 hours
  • Nominate three other associations, municipalities, or clubs to do the same

Congratulations to the team at Résidence Op Lamp in Wasserbillig and the children from Cycle 3 of the Wasserbillig primary school for taking up the challenge! A beautiful Christmas tree was planted as part of the Intergenerational Garden project—a moment full of emotions and sharing between generations!
