2023 donation campaign: Pluxee Luxembourg employees committed with Caritas

On June 13 and 21, 11 Sodexo Pass Luxembourg employees volunteered at the Caritas Buttek social grocery stores in Esch-sur-Alzette and Luxembourg City.

On the agenda: preparation of pastries from the Caritas recipe book (link) and distribution to the social grocery store beneficiaries. After almost 14 years of partnership, this was an opportunity for Sodexo employees to exchange with the volunteers, and to realize the sometimes harsh reality of the field.

This action is also part of the annual Stop Hunger Servathon, which unites Sodexo employees around the world in the fight against hunger.

On July 15th, for the 14th consecutive year, the "Lunch Pass" donation campaign will be launched to benefit the Caritas Buttek social grocery stores. As every year, employees of Sodexo's client companies will find a flyer in their lunch voucher envelope explaining the action, as well as a postage-paid envelope addressed to Caritas Luxembourg, allowing them to return their "Lunch Pass" donations.

Beneficiaries of the Sodexo Lunch Pass card (Sodexo electronic meal vouchers) will also be able to make donations by paying directly with their card on the Caritas website.

The "Caritas Buttek" social grocery stores are extremely in-demand these days. Many customers are unable to make ends meet at the end of the month, and are therefore entitled to shop there at low prices. The "Lunch Pass" campaign provides financial support for Caritas Luxembourg's social grocery stores, offering considerable help to needy families in Luxembourg. In 2022, 5,360 people were supported through the social groceries, including 1,478 children.
